About the Ministry

Earthen Vessels Ministry is a not-for-profit ministry with a focus on the health of pastors, their spouses, their marriages and their families. It is recognized as a Freestanding Ministry Organization by the Church of God (Anderson, IN). This ministry was born out of the heart of Dr. Carl Addison and his wife, Valerie. Earthen Vessels Ministry recognizes the "jars of clay" that pastors really are, the struggles they have, and the unique demands placed upon them, their spouses, and their families. Because the Addison's have spent 27 years in pastoral ministry they understand the struggles, hurts, joys, victories and pain that are a part of being a ministry family.

  • The purpose of Earthen Vessels is to equip pastoral marriages and families to be healthy, to help congregations nurture health in their pastoral households, to provide caring in times of crisis, and in so doing, enable pastors to remain in ministry, not becoming a part of the alarming "drop out" trend we are witnessing when it comes to pastors.

Earthen Vessels Ministry is available to serve pastors and their families, for retreats, seminars, workshops and other ministries. We work with local, district, state and national church organizations and are now accepting bookings for and beyond.
